My comments on tutoring ADD/ADHD : Many of the special education teachers requested that their students be placed in my homeroom because of my success in dealing with "challenging" kids. My oldest son has ADHD and he is an honor roll student.

Tutoring differs from teaching in that "style" is replaced by method. Some of the methods I have used in the past are rhythm and music, neumonic devices, and of course, drill and practice. I have been told that I am gifted with presenting material in novel ways.
As mentioned in my earlier description, I have eighteen years experience as an educator. I have taught students of all ages from early childhood through college and non-traditional adult education. I believe in making learning fun and engaging by relating concepts to points of interest for the individual student.

I earned my BA in Political Science and graduated from one of the best state schools in the United States, then went to law school and graduated near the top of my class.
