I am a firm believer that strict memorization does not allow the student to broaden their ability to solve problems of various flavors. I encourage the student to understand the concepts to avoid tedious memorization. Additionally I believe children learn best in an environment where they do not feel intimidated or nervous. As a chemist for almost ten years at the labs in Oak Ridge, TN and 12 years of teaching experience in TN and MS, I am highly qualified to tutor chemistry. I haved earned a BS in chemistry as well as a MS in Science Education. During the last 5 years I have tutored Chemistry, Biology, Algebra I and II.
