Given the proper environment and method(s), any student can and will learn. My role as a tutor is similar to Michelangelo’s role as a sculptor. When he was commissioned to sculpt the “David” statue, the giant block of marble for this work had been waiting in a cathedral-courtyard for almost 40 years. History records Michelangelo as a sculptor who strove to reveal the magnificent 17 foot masterpiece-image that was waiting to emerge. I thoroughly enjoy teaching, especially in a tutoring setting. Being able to work with a student in an environment where I can give them all of my attention really allows me to make a huge impact on them. I believe that in order for a student to learn, the student must gain confidence that he or she CAN learn. I am a very kind and helpful person, and implement a vast array of difference techniques to help a student no matter what type of learning works best for them. I feel it is important to work by doing something you love, and I could not imagine doing anything other than teaching.
