A Little Bit About Me...

I have worked for the past 13 years in accounting and management positions. I started in the Master of Education in the Teaching Arts at Mississippi College this past January and recieved by Class A Teacher's License in June of this year. I am certified to teach grades 4-8 in all four of the major subjects: math, science, social studies and language. I am also certified to teach grades 7-12 in the social studies area: US History, government, geography, and world history. I am also highly qualified to teach accounting and business because of the number of accounting and business classes that I have taken.

After graduated with a BS in Agriculture Economics from Alcorn State University in May 2000, I have worked as an Agricultural Statistician for the National Agricultural Statistics Service. While working with NASS, I have taking a creative writing class to improve my writing ability. I have also taking Calculus I, II, and III to build on my math skills. I am on track to receive a master’s in Management at Belhaven University in July of 2010. I am a very patient person, and patience is always a necessity when you are teaching a child and helping him/her to understand anything. I am the oldest of four children and I have always had to help them with homework growing up so I know ways to keep their attention on their studies. I have learned that children have to visualize, and see what is happening in order to get a complete understanding. Also, it has to be in a form where it is fun to learn by using charts and different types of ways to display information.
