As a special education teacher, I believe learning should be fun and exciting. I teach students based upon their individual needs and learning styles. I love learning and I try my best to pass that love of learning to my children and my students. Using centers in the class room, is a great way to make learning fun. Centers allow students to be actively engaged by presenting the subject material using a hands-on approach while allowing them to move about the room. My Master’s degree is in special education with a concentration in emotional and behavioral disturbance. I have worked with students who have many different types of disabilities including behavior disorders. Working with students who have behavior disorders taught me that every student needs respect, care and patience.
