My comments on tutoring Spanish : I can help with Spanish at a high school level or below. However, I'm no expert and it would help me if the student has a book.

I worked for ten months as an assistant teacher at a daycare center. I was employed through a program at my high school. My jobs included supervising and joining in with the children's activities. I've also helped children prepare for the FCAT with my church. I've assisted in teaching children their roles for a church play. *I took Spanish 1 and 2 in high school and I know the basics and can help children study for Spanish.

One on one tutoring style--I provide one on one tutoring sessions that include the use of a variety of instructional strategies including worksheets, workbooks, sight words, vocabulary, Venn diagrams and charts, flash cards, compositions and educational websites. My comments on tutoring Spanish : I am not a fancy certified teacher. I don't speak Castilian Spanish, and I don't pretend that the Spanish that I speak is as formal as they speak in Madrid, but I am fluent, and I do know the language. I am new to the field of teaching, and trying to help others while I make a name for myself. I don't promise to make you fluent in Spanish overnight, but with interest and participation from you, I will teach you the Spanish that you need to accomplish your goals.

In addition, I find that the student-teacher relationship must be one of trusting, because you should really be studying what the student finds important to convey on paper, where their strengths and weaknesses lie, and what areas they need most strengthening with.
