Throughout high school I was a teacher's assistant helping with students in class during my study halls as well as working one on one with students for extra study skills. During my doctoral studies at UCSD, I began to tutor professionally as a way to earn extra income. It seemed like a logical choice for a part-time job as I had been helping friends with homework for almost as long as I could remember. Given my extensive scientific training, the vast majority of my tutoring experience has been in Science or Math.
