In May 2012, I received my bachelors degree in English with a Literature Emphasis and a minor in Writing. I graduated with a 3.6 g.p.a. (Cum Laude Honors.) Throughout college, I took various education courses that focused on educational philosophy and physiology, elementary and secondary concentrations, and students with disabilities. I was able to obtain 36 education credits and in 2009, I was admitted into the school of education at my university where I was able to engage in student teachings, researchers, and observations. I prefer to have materials prepared prior to any tutoring session so communication ahead of time will be essential. If I have an idea of what is expected of me then I am able to help modify the session to fit the learner. I like to use both direct teach as well as discussion to help guide the tutoring session. I have a wide variety of educational experience and have recently crossed over into the realm of education as a Special Education/At-Risk teacher with the Edgerton School District. My current position has me utilizing differentiated instruction and modification techniques with nearly 50 students throughout the day which will enhance my ability to tutor others who need help.
