I pride myself on my interpersonal skills and my ability to communicate information in ways that make it easy for people to understand and grasp the concepts at hand. I've never had a problem with communicating and explaining math. I have little work experience, but I'm very experienced in math and frequently tutored in my two semesters as CCGA in Georgia. I also tutored STAR students after school and some peers in high school. I believe all students have the ability to succeed. In my experience, the most important thing to remember is that all students learn differently, and sometimes what seems like an impossible task just needs to be presented differently for better understanding. Relating the material to situations and applications that are relevant and familiar to that particular student is a much more productive and beneficial way to have students retain information. I am currently a Biology Major at the University of Southern Maine. I have completed my degree requirements for my BS, I’m finishing up by taking an additional 9 credits this semester before walking for graduation in the Spring, May 2011.
