Elementary Tutor

I have taught elementary school for the past six years. I worked in an inclusive classroom where I differentiated for the needs of all students. I believe in meeting each child at his/her current skill level and building confidence and concepts from there. Each student has his/her own strengths and weaknesses, and learns at his/her own pace. I have done a lot of teaching and tutoring, both with adults and young people. Most of my experience, though, comes from working with high school and junior high school students. I spent the majority of that time as a tutor/ mentor and would work with the students one on one or in small groups, both in the library or in the classroom. It was really the most wonderful experience and I was able to provide tremendous benefits to the students on both an academic and personal level.
I really do place something of a premium on being able to connect with all of my students on an academic and personal level.
