I have a positive approach to teaching. I am very patient when I go through the lessons and go back and review any older material if it is needed in order to grasp the current lesson of the day. I work hard to make the content stick and I always enjoy to see that light of realization in their eyes when they grasp the concept I am teaching them.
My background in Atmospheric Sciences gives me a good base in science and math. I feel my skills will allow me to tutor with both science and math classes, including Calculus I and II classes. I have helped my fellow students learn for nearly as long as I've been learning, myself. While attending Community College, I worked as a Peer Tutor in a wide range of subjects. While attending University, I worked as a General Subject Tutor and as a Math Tutor. I studied abroad in South Korea for one year, during which time I tutored Korean students in English and worked as a Classroom Aide and Assistant Teacher in several private schools. During all this time, at home and abroad, I also offered my services as a Private Tutor, assisting students with Math, Computer Science, and English. I have a BS in Mathematics, with an English Minor, and I have a great passion for my subjects.
