I enjoy teaching and working with students, especially in high school and middle school. I think the greatest degree of success tutoring will be achieved working one on one in a comfortable study environment. I also feel that learning is best achieved through mistakes and being able to truly "learn" and not memorize.
As a graduate in Sports Medicine, I have an extensive background in all science related classes. I also minored in Religion and almost had enough credits to minor in Psychology as well. My teaching style is based on reading then reviewing. At that point in time ask questions to see if the student has grasped the information being given. If not, answer questions then clarify. When reviewing information it is important to make sure the student knows reasoning behind subject matter so that they are understanding logic and not just memorizing information. In subjects that invloves math such as probability, chemistry, or statistics, I would do a few examples followed by letting the tutee working a few problems.
I have tutored fellow classmates in the past throughtout middle school and high school.
