A Little Bit About Me...

I have a bachelors degree in biology from Augusta State University, and I am currently a third year medical student. I have tutored biology majors and nursing students in the past with great results. I have taken the SAT, MCAT, and USMLE Step 1, so I have plenty of experince taking national examinations.
Since memorizing usually helps for short term memory, I create ways to understand and remember ideas that are easy and fun to learn. By using methods used by World Memory Championship competetors and by star Kaplan instructors, I make remembering easy and painless. With this method, it is harder to forget what you learn!

As a student in high school, I became fascinated with Chemistry and went on to earn a BS in Chemistry. The position I landed after school dealt with additives in rubber and plastics, so eventually I went on to earn a MS degree in Polymer Science. This helped me to land a better position. I started substitute teaching when I was in undergraduate school just as a source of income and because I like teaching. My mother is a retired teacher who taught for over 30 years. I work as an engineer but I always find time to tutor. I have tutored with an SES program and have found that this worked really well. Focusing on how the children learn as a method to approach how they should be tutored is very effective and the children learn.
