I have been tutoring and teaching since my Sophomore year in high school. At that time I was teaching English as a second language to a few foreigners who were visiting my school. Since that time, I've gone on to teach elementary level through high school children/teens in various subjects with the boys and girls clubs of america. I make sure that when I teach, I prep each lesson for that individual person. No one learning plan can teach every single person, so I hand-tailor things for each student.

I have experience working with students who have a hearing loss who are also on the spectrum with other disabilities as well. When I was 5 years old I learned sign Language, I had a classmate who was deaf and I fell in love with the language. I went to the University of Nebrasaka-Lincoln majored in Speech Pathology and took a few sign language classes. I started interpreting in 2009 in a small town in Kimball Nebraska. After graduation I began teaching in Missouri at the middle school level for students with behavioral disorders. I taught all subjects in my classroom. After 2 years I moved to the high school level where I co-taught algebra and pre-algebra. I did this for 5 years and absolutely loved it! Although I do not have a degree in math, I am very comfortable teaching up to algebra as I did it for 5 years. I would be comfortable teaching any math subject up to the algebra level. In college I took 17 hours of Spanish and have a love for the language. I would be very comfortable tutoring beginning learners in this area as I have mastered the basic concepts of the language.
