A Little Bit About Me...

As a caregiver for my two nephews and one niece I feel that I am very qualified to work with children. Since moving back to Memphis I have been very involved in their education and upbringing. I graduated from Dillard University in New Orleans, La., where I was a tutor for the Saturday Science Academy. In the program, I was responsible for following a strict lesson plan designed to prepare the students for the yearly LEAP Exam, which is equivalent to the Memphis City School's TCAP. I focused on students in grades fourth and fifth in mathematics and reading comprehension. Upon my time spent at Dillard University and the programs existance the scores of students involved in the program increased tremendously from previous years. I attend Southwest TN community collge. My major is early childhood education and i have not graduated. But I am going to continue to until i graduate. I do not have any degrees in education. I do have a lot of experience. And have been to many work shops. I have been teaching and tutoring students for the last five years.
My experience working with children has been great! I have worked with children as young as six weeks and as old as ten years old. Teaching and Tutoring children is one thing that I love to do.
