With Spanish, I am conversational. I also like to quiz students that I tutor at Suny Cobleskill.
When I was 12-13 years old, I started learning Spanish. I am now 22 years old and am pretty proficient in Spanish. Also, I tutor Business Law a little bit. I have taken a course at Suny Cobleskill along with Macroeconomics and Microeconomics. Writing and English is something that I am very good at. A Little Bit About Me...

I have always known I wanted to work with children. I enjoy working in classrooms, as well as in the more relaxed settings, such as summer and after-school programs. I graduated in 2005 from the State University of New York at New Paltz with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, and a concentration in Spanish. I have used my educational knowledge as a substitute teacher, working in grades K-12. I have also had the wonderful opportunity to work on a cruise ship for 3 years, starting out in the youth program onboard.

I am a strong believer in mastering a topic as opposed to spitting out the correct response. I also believe in finding one’s main learning style and teaching to it, not that of the masses. The classroom environment seeks to teach the most people the most knowledge in a single shot. Tutoring should seek to teach an individual to their greatest potential. While I am not a teacher by profession, I spent much time in the academic support center at SUNY Cobleskill as a freshman tutoring students in different kinds of math. (ie: algebra,fractions, etc) and occasionally in english and science. I also had to lead several class discussions at grad school at times, teaching the readings or materials for that week. This included presentations and answering questions from the audience.
