Following my graduation from the University of Connecticut I pursued a career in the insurance industry but have also spent time working as a youth group leader and worked as a part-time tutor for several years. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is very simple and I believe it is effective. I have found that going through problems does not always help kids learn. I always try to tutor the basics and establish a plan for problem solving. The children need to know how to attach a problem not how to plug numbers into equations.
While attending the University of Massachusetts at Lowell I work to help other students that were having difficulty understanding the material presented. I obtained a bachelor of science in Civil Engineering, with a concentration in Structural Analysis. The course work gave me a very strong understanding of Mathematics, and Physics. I would want each student in my classroom to feel wanted and feel a sense of their identity present even when they leave the classroom. Each student should be given attention. To understand what they feel and how they react to the material being presented to them is very important to me. I would encourage students to learn and let their views be heard.
