I began teaching at a very young age. I began my own music lesson company which taught basic level of piano, guitar, saxophone and voice lessons out of my house before I began high school. After achieving my certificate of proficiency in Spanish from Hamline I then began to also privately tutor Spanish. I also have earned my TEFL/TESOL certificate and will eventually go abroad and teach English overseas.

To this end, I always give a few minutes of each lesson to personal contact, and chat with them a little about what is happening in their lives. I also encourage laughter and light-heartedness. I really do place something of a premium on being able to connect with all of my students on an academic and personal level. I can attest to such things happening with many of my students and for that I am incredibly thankful.

Because I have had so many different students with different learning styles, I have learned to adjust my teaching methods so kids will find a way to understand it. I enjoy grasping the subjects so well that I can explore new ways of teaching so that anybody and everybody will eventually get it. I've learned that it takes a lot of patience to make sure that everybody is grasping it, and that sometimes you just have to keep trying, even if you think that there's no hope -- because there is always hope.
