Improving the lives of children has always been a passion of mine. While my academic background has had a focus, primarily, in the social work realm, my overall philosophy for working with youth emphasizes patience and education. I have sought opportunities working with both young children and adolescents. My interest began when I tutored elementary age children during my high school career. I also encourage students to enrich their writing by reading as often as possible. Young people who take writing seriously are preparing for a successful college career. Post-secondary students who learn to write effectively are more employable than those who view writing as a technical obstacle.
