Changing The World, One Child AT A Time

I was an assistant teacher to a 3rd grade class at Wilson's Mills Elementary from 2001 until 2003. My duties included assisted the teacher and helping the students in a manner to help them learn at their pace. And I also have an 8 year old son who attends River Dell Elementary. I help him on a daily basis with his homework, which includes math, reading and writing. I love kids and it brings great joy to my life to see the smile on their faces when they learn something new, or figure out the answer to a problem they are working on.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am currently still in school at NCSU, with one more year left to obtain my degree with Middle Grades Science and Math. I have had experience tutoring and mentoring students in the past. I worked with elementary and middle school aged students for about a year at the Method Road Community Center in Raleigh, NC. For my degree, and a requirement for a previous class, I had to have field experience in a school. I was at West Cary Middle for about 4 months working with 8th grade students. I helped them with one on one questions and helped the teacher grade. I have learned an ample amount of information through my 4 years at NCSU to be able to do this job with excellence.
