Sculpting is one of my top subjects! I am an expert in handbuilt and wheel-thrown pottery, but I can work with many materials, included but not limited to paper, cardboard, and wire.

As an art educator, I was required to master many different mediums. I have practiced drawing, painting, two- and three-dimentional design, Photoshop, printmaking, jewelry-making, and photography. My emphasis is pottery. I can handbuild and work on the potter's wheel. I create excellently-crafted functional pieces. Few things bring me more pleasure than baking in something I have made with my own hands. I have experience teaching all ages of children and adults alike, and can adjust my teaching style to whatever is appropriate for my students. I am patient, understanding, and eager to see my students succeed.

I have earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Miami University in history. I currently am enrolled at University of Tennessee at Chattanooga to obtain a Masters Degree in Education with a license to teach in the state of Tennessee in the middle grades. I have worked as a nanny during undergraduate for a couple different families. I have also worked through the YMCA as an after school teacher where I helped students K-6 with their homework. After graduating with a BA is History, I have worked as a Pre-Kindergarten Teacher, a Kindergarten Substitute Teacher, and an after school teacher for children 4 years through kindergarten.
I enjoy working with children, however, I don't feel I have one teaching style. I like to be able to adapt to how the children learn the best. My favorite teaching style is hands on activities such as experiments and crafts. I take pride in my creativity.
