Trigonometry is one of my top subjects!

I try to explain concepts by explaining the methods behind them. Once a student understands the concepts, it is easier for them to apply them to other problem situations.
With over 35 years experience teaching math, I have successfully taught students from third grade through college calculus. Turning your weakness into your strength

I help guide the student along, having them discover much of the information in a trial and error fashion. I tend to use the questions they are struggling with the most, making similar examples, then walking them through these problems and breaking down the problems until the student understands the how the process works.
I have been tutoring for over seven years, starting with my peers in tenth grade. I have tutored a wide range of subjects, from Geometry through Calculus III, from general computer knowledge through utilizing the advanced functions of Microsoft Access. Trigonometry is one of my top subjects!

I have a habit of teaching the basic concepts thoroughly giving them examples and some new problems underlying the same concepts to solve on their own. I also used to conduct tests regularly. This will assess the student and also how much more effort the student has to put in learning the subject.
I did my bachelor's in CIVIL Engineering in India.After my bachelor's I worked as an Assistant civil engineer for residential projects. I have been tutoring at Forsyth Technical Community College since September 2008. I work on average, over the 5 years, 15 hours a week, but now working 21 hours a week since I am now out of school. I have done private tutoring for about 3 years now, either with people from met from school or from tutoring. I got a BS in both Mathematics and Computer Science in May of 2013.
