My goal is to help children in any context that I can. Although I have my sights set on being a pediatric neurologist, my vision encompasses more than this end. I have wanted to teach students my entire life. I began tutoring when I went to college. There I tutored my peers in composition and literature. As I continued my college career, I had three semesters where I taught grades 7-12. I received my BS in Education in December of 2007 and began teaching high school English at the sophomore level at a local high school. While working there, I got a job offer closer to home and began that in July of 2008. There I taught 9-12 British Literature, College Composition, Creative Writing, American Literature, and Drama. I currently have my teaching certificate which certifies me to teach 9-12 English (Language Arts) in the state of Missouri.
