Children and adults learn in different ways. Visual, auditory, kinesthetic are three ways that people can learn, I happen to be mostly kinesthetic. I alter how I teach depending on what my students need and what the resources are. I do use a constructivist teaching style to do this. I do believe that a student rises to the expectations of the instructor. I also believe that the responsibility of learning should be increasingly the students as they take over their own education away from the instructor. I tutored students at the University of Montana enrolled in biology and anatomy courses. The students I tutored had significantly better test scores than their previous ones. At LCSC, I assisted one of my professors for her online chemistry courses. I made keys and graded their homework and added notes to help them for future assignments.
