To be honest I do not really have any experience of being a tutor. I am a senior at Reagan High school and for the most part I tutor other classmates and family members. Mostly recently I broaden my range to elementary to high school. I do very well in mathematics except for geometry, Pre-cal, abd calculus because i am not registered for those classes. I'm also good in science.
My teaching style varies from student to student. I like to get to know the student in order to maximize their understanding of the subject. Everybody does learn differently, so I am open to change for that said student.

Turning your weakness into your strength

I help guide the student along, having them discover much of the information in a trial and error fashion. I tend to use the questions they are struggling with the most, making similar examples, then walking them through these problems and breaking down the problems until the student understands the how the process works.
I have been tutoring for over seven years, starting with my peers in tenth grade. I have tutored a wide range of subjects, from Geometry through Calculus III, from general computer knowledge through utilizing the advanced functions of Microsoft Access. A Little Bit About Me...

I have been teaching social studies in Cabarrus County for the past 12 years. I am nationally board certified and have my AP certification in World History. This summer I will be receiving my IB training and will begin teaching AP world history in the IB classroom. I am interested in tutoring specifically in world and AP world history, which I consider my speciality, but am proficient in all social studies classes and can help at any level. My comments on tutoring World History : I have a degree in International Relations and have studied international world history extensively.
