I hold a BS in Biology from the University at Albany. I also have a profound love for mathematics and have tutored numerous students in calculus I and II while in college. I love to teach and see the ideas light up the eyes of the person who suddenly got a concept. I think teaching should be adaptable and should fit the learning style of the student. Visual tasks, memory games, and hands-on-learning are, in my opinion, the best way to help someone truly learn (versus rote memory). I have a strong math and science background. In college, I started out in chemical engineering (2 1/2 yrs.) and then switched to education. My bachelor’s degree is a dual degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. Initially, I taught first grade in a parochial school.
