In College, I pursued my interest in English language by majoring in Literature, with an emphasis upon etymology, linguistics, speech and rhetoric. My senior thesis on the poetic technique of Alexander Pope earned both an "Honors A" and that year's sole English Faculty Award. I later chose to attend a law school that was renowned for its general emphasis upon writing and, in particular, "plain English" legal communication. I love mathematics and one of my passions is to teach it. I know that not everybody learns the same ways or has the same abilities for certain subjects and that is why I differentiate my instruction. I use the constructivist approach because I believe that students learn best by building on what they already know.
