Through my University’s thorough teacher preparation program, I worked with general education students and students with disabilities. I understand that children (and adults) have differennt learning styles and try to tailor my approach to the specific needs of the student. The bilingual students I teach have a unique challenge in that the letters of the alphabet represent different sounds in English versus Spanish. I was an Aide in the resource center at Pollard Middle School in Massachusetts and interned as a floating substitute at Elias Howe School in Bridgeport. I student taught fourth grade at Stratford Academy. I was also an Aide for grades 5 and 6 and Christian Heritage School in Trumbull and taught grade six at CHS last year.
