I graduated from a small liberal arts college. There I had my eyes opened to a whole new world of thinking and learning. I received my Bachelors degree in physical education with a minor in coaching. I have a special teaching certificate from the state of Illinois that allows me to teach K-12. I have 6 years of experience working with children of all age, race, and backgrounds. I have been substituting for the past two years at various school districts at various positions.
My teaching style is to get all the children involved with the lesson. I have always been a reader and a writer. In my degree work, I learned how to inspire others to read critically and write well. I have many years experience as a college-level instructor. I also work locally with high school students at my church. In addition, I have worked at Writing Centers at several institutions. I also have helped with successful grant writing for several local organizations.
