I graduated from a small liberal arts college. There I had my eyes opened to a whole new world of thinking and learning. I received my Bachelors degree in physical education with a minor in coaching. I have a special teaching certificate from the state of Illinois that allows me to teach K-12. I have 6 years of experience working with children of all age, race, and backgrounds. I have been substituting for the past two years at various school districts at various positions.
My teaching style is to get all the children involved with the lesson. I feel that students learn better when they are the ones doing the problem at hand and I am there to help them out along the way. I am very patient with children and do not mind going over a problem 10 times until they get it. I feel that all children learn differently, so I come into each child with an open mind to help them.

It is important to have that type of space so as to ensure that students do not form a sense of anxiety when entering the room or when studying that particular subject. I love creating a variety of activities: group, individual, hands-on, problem solving, comprehension and reading, and activities where students have to get up and move around.
