I have been an educator for almost 20 years. I began my teaching career as a substitute teacher and immediately fell in love with teaching children with special needs. Desiring to continue to teach, I finished a Master's degree which gave me the endorsements to teach K-12 children with special needs. Since then, I have taught reading and mathematics to both children with special needs and regular education children at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. I have a proven success rate in assisting my students in excelling on standardized tests. In the 2007-2008 school year my students achieved double digit gains on the MSAs (Middle School Assessments). Also during my experience I have moved basic and proficient students to advanced levels on the standardized tests and helped the students that I have tutored in the past and currently tutor advance in the subjects of Math (Algebra, Geometry and Basic Mathematics) Science, Social Studies and English from failing to grades that show proficiency.
