I have been a credentialed teacher for 4 years. I work primarily with students with moderate/severe disabilities. Previously, I was a teacher's aid, tutor and daycare worker. I am credentialed in both general education and special education. I have experience working with a wide variety of learners in all subject areas. I have worked with students who are simply trying to get ahead in school, students who are falling behind and need homework help, students who are about to be retained, to students who are significantly delayed and are on their own curriculum program. I began tutoring my freshman year of high school. For my fours year of high school I worked at Kumon Learning Center in Los Angeles. Here, I learned a lot of my tutoring experience. I worked with children from the ages of 5 to 17. I helped these children in math from kindergarten math all the way up to calculus, and then in reading and reading comprehension skills from the younger kindergarteners to younger high schoolers.
