I have taught at the University level for the past six years but do feel I can teach science at any level and love working with children and young adults. From my tutoring experiences last year, my teaching style would best be described as very proactive. Many of the students were extremely frustrated by the concepts that they did not understand. This created an apathetic attitude towards the subject. Due to the lack of interest that I observed, I decided to go through problem by problem with the students. I talked them through each problem, and asked the students questions, but required them to calculate the answer. As we practiced and practiced, the students began to use the techniques that I taught them to calculate the answers on their own.

My favorite jobs that I have had dealt with working with children. I love working with children and making a difference in their lives. No two children are the same and that is why they deserve one on one communication. Each child has their own way of learning and that is why it is important to get to know them on a personal level.
