My philosophy of discipline is simple: observe, take data and find the function of the behavior. When a student misbehaves in class there is an underlying reason. Every behavior has a function. The function can be to gain access to an item or person, to avoid doing the work or aggressive behaviors if they do not understand the assignment completely, medicine or personal affects (hungry, sleepy or thirsty). I also believe in “brain breaks”. My students take a break every hour to get up, walk around, listen to music and get the wiggles out. Patients is my number 1 key all kids do not learn at the same pace.When I work with a child I learn there speed so that they don't feel pushed or rushed ,and I work (sometimes off duty) to figure out different exercisers to improve there speed and there school work performance.

I am a National Achievement Semifinalist because of my PSAT scores and am waiting to find out if my SAT scores were high enough to qualify as a finalist. I will be attending UAB in the Fall of 2013. I enjoy working with children because they are so optimistic and fun to teach.

I graduated high school in 2008. I then attended West Ga Tech., for over a year. I majored in technical communications and took numerous computer classes. I love computers and Math.
