A Little Bit About Me...

I love to help students become over achievers. I discovered that my success is directly related to how I overcame my past challenges with math, particularly Algebra. Reflecting back on the years when I attended high school, I struggled with math. Once I was accepted to NC A&T, I realized that I had developed a fear of math and did not understand basic algebraic concepts. After being assigned a peer tutor as a freshman, I overcame my fear of math. Due to his mentoring I was successful at conquering math concepts and performed well in all other academic courses. I have been working as a Substitute teacher for the last six years in Georgia as well as in the State of Washington. As my resume will indicate, I have experience at tutoring in the four major core subjects (Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies). I recently moved back home to the Wilson area after more than 30 years. I attended Elvie Street Elementary, 1963-67, Coon Junior High 1968, Darden High School 1970-71, Fike High School 1972-73 and graduated from Elm City High School in 1973.
