I am currently pursuing my Doctorate of Psychology in Educational Leadership (projected graduation 10/2015) at University of the Rockies. I helped two 6th grade classes learn pre-algebra. Many times I would have to come up with a different way of explaining what the teacher said, so the students could understand what they needed to do. Some children just need a new way of looking at something to understand it. Children might also need just little more time to understand something that schools just don't have the time to give.
