My comments on tutoring Spanish : I worked as a Spanish teacher at the Eden Valley Watkins High School for 7 years and built the program for the school. I work for a trading company and handle the exports to Mexico. I am a native speaker and grammar is a tool for me to teach. I also worked for the Meeker county court system as a translator.

I like to use grammar and all the tools available, reading, listening skills, writting. I think grammar is very important because it helps the student (s) to reinforce ther English grammar. I believe once that you have grammar skills, any other language will be very easy to learn. I like to use as well the web to explore and I would be open to use the material the student (s) are already using at school or at work.
I workd for the Eden Valley Watkins High School for more than 7 years. I build the Spanish program at the High School. I also worked as an ESL teacher for the elementary school at EV-W. I also had a couple of Community classes at Ridgewater College, MN and during the summer time as well for the EV-W children.

A Little Bit About Me...

This past year I graduated magna cum laude from Carleton College with a Bachelor’s in History and Medieval Studies. I have studied abroad at Oxford University, and in Rome and Romania, and have a lot of experience in writing research reports and essays. As a student of the liberal arts I have studied a wide variety of subjects, from theology to environmental science, from Old English to statistics and am comfortable in almost any subject. During this past academic year I tutored a home schooled child one on one several hours a week in world history and research methodology; I was in effect his sole teacher in the subject and also helped him improve his writing and study skills.
