A Little Bit About Me...

I have worked as a student assistant for Dr. Peter F. Biehl (Department of Anthropology, Chair). In this position I have presented lectures and helped others with their projects. I have worked with INSA translating services in which I translated regents exams from russian to english and vice versa. I have also worked as a GRE tutor in math and english.
I have presented lectures and am comfortable in front of others and take a very professional approach to the material. My comments on tutoring Geography : My knowledge of Geography is extensive. I have lived & studied abroad.

I try to engage my student, to tease the learning out of him or her. I have learned to explain, to give the information then to step back, allowing my student to think through to the conclusion. This involves silence sometimes, and the student talking more while I talk less, something not so easy for a teacher of Italian descent. Experiences has shown, however, that it often works.
