Marine Biology is one of my top subjects!

I think science is fun and exciting. I like to teach with a hands on approach.
I have worked in the aquarium industry for 19years. I have indepth knowledge, practical skills related to the marine science field. I grew up in a VA suburb of Washington, DC and spent my summers and holidays from college as a page, intern, and tour guide in the US Capitol. I have a passion for learning that I would love to share with students in need. My most recent job as Associate Curator at the Georgia Aquarium required that I have indepth knowledge of a wide variety of marine and freshwater habitats, ecology, fish ID, water chemistry, and management of a team of biologist.

A Little Bit About Me...

I hold a bachelor of science in Biology (cum laude) from Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA and attended graduate school at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine where I studied Molecular and Cell Biology and completed all coursework required of the Ph.D. Since graduate school, I have over 10 years of biology research experience in both academic and biotech settings. My research, teaching and training experience covers the entirety of essential topics in biology and chemistry. In addition, my solid oral and written communication skills, and excellent computer fluency are just a few of my relevant assets.
