A Little Bit About Me...

I believe in using a sense of humor to help develop a positive rapport with the students. I spent a lot of time developing vocabulary and using phonics to help the students build fluency in reading.
I taught in the Cloverleaf Schoolistrict for 9 years. I spent the first 3 years teaching as a building sub in grades 1-6. I spent 6 years in first grade teaching all areas including math, science, reading, phonics, and vocabulary. Teacher for hire!

I currently teach at a Christian School and I am an intervention specialist. I have been teaching since 2003. I started my career as a tutor, then I taught first grade for three years, I went back to tutoring until I finished my master's degree in special education. This is when I was hired to teach students with Autism and other learning disabilities. I truly love what I do and I enjoy my students as well.
