Teaching is my passion. I started to realize this while helping classmates as early as middle school and have carried that drive with me through college and my teaching experiences so far. I have a variety of skills through work experience and like to use a wide range of methods to teach. These methods help me address different learning styles. I am a firm believer that teaching requires the passing of understanding and not just knowledge. Everyone learns in a different way, and as such information must be presented in different ways to get through to differing individuals. I believe that when the basic concepts of math and science are mastered, the complex concepts become simple. These subjects also need to be taught using real life examples so that students can see the importance of learning them. Finally, I believe the worst thing that an instructor can do is to ask student to use and memorize equation that they don't understand. I will always insure that a student will understand the why and not just the how. Anyone can become a master of math and science if they have the desire and are taught effectively.
