My comments on tutoring Basic Learning Skills : I would be able to help with homework for children in Kindergarten, first or second grades.

I am a retired classroom teacher with over 35 years of experience. I have taught in all grades in elementary school as well as college classes online and on campus. My area of expertise is reading. During most of my years of teaching, I worked in a "self-contained" classroom setting so I was responsible for teaching all subject areas in the grade level. I love all children but find I really connect with the younger learners.
I enjoy children, especially young children and I believe that everyone can learn. I know that one-on-one hands-on teaching is the best and that is the approach that I take when tutoring.
