I enjoy the individuality of each student. One student may learn best visually, while another through kinesetics, each a valid learning style. Once a child can find their style they can confidence in their ability to learn. I believe each child can learn I just need to help them find the confidence to do so. I vary my teaching style. Some students are content with just reading while others need hands-on and visual experience. I believe in using technology, as the Smart Board and computer instruction in addition to textbook instruction. I do my best to keep the student's interest in mind, and I work at the student's pace. There is a way to reach every child. It is my responsibility to figure out how an individual child learns best, and then use it to show him learing is fun! The methods of teaching I was instructed when I obtained my Bachelor in Education at the University of Akron Ohio, from 1989-1991, was the following Integrated, Whole language approach and Montessori. The method we were instructed to use in the Akron city school system was Integrated which uses basic and whole language approach language Arts. I have always been a tutor of sorts. I love to teach kids because of the sparkle they get in their eyes when they finally understand what they are being taught. In my experience, a person needs to be confident in him/herself in order to succeed. Learning of scholastic material is two fold: personal and academic development. As a bilingual, internationally traveled persona, I have tutored students of all ages.
