Chess coach/tutor available (most subjects) - Cleveland West

I learned how to play chess about twenty years ago, it's been rather on and off since then. I've steadily improved and tried so many different ways to improve before finding the right method for myself that I'm confident in my many approaches to teaching. As far as other subjects, I graduated high school with honors back in 2003 with a 3.8 GPA, and scored a composite 30 on the ACT. I was awarded the Presidential Scholarship from Baldwin-Wallace, went there for a year, didn't like the school at all (should have researched it more...) I enjoy the individuality of each student. One student may learn best visually, while another through kinesetics, each a valid learning style. Once a child can find their style they can confidence in their ability to learn. I believe each child can learn I just need to help them find the confidence to do so. The methods of teaching I was instructed when I obtained my Bachelor in Education at the University of Akron Ohio, from 1989-1991, was the following Integrated, Whole language approach and Montessori. The method we were instructed to use in the Akron city school system was Integrated which uses basic and whole language approach language Arts.
