I generally teach through visual aids and through very thorough explanations. If the student doesn't understand the first time I explain something, I will explain it in a different way and will keep explaining it in different ways until he/she fully understands what's being taught. I try my hardest to teach by explaining concepts logically and showing WHY and HOW, rather than simply saying something is what it is "just because."

My comments on tutoring Writing Skills : My grammar is just as spotty as yours, and I managed to graduate with a degree in writing. I hope to broaden your vocabulary and at least help you learn how to self correct. A skilled writer knows that their most valued tool is the eraser/backspace key because good writing requires a lot of repair and maintenance, always striving for a more perfect version of your first draft.

I'm a recent college graduate from NC State, with a degree in Creative Writing. However, the CW course instilled in me knowledge in a variety of fields from film to philosophy, and as a requirement of modern education made me more than just fluent in the language of computers. I'm a would-be author, and a writer of short stories, and have won an honorable mention in a few poetry contests. In college I was frequently asked by friends in less liberal majors for help in writing papers and getting ideas across, because while a Biology major dreads the 25 page research paper, the English major just shrugs and says "I just wrote like, three of those yesterday."
