A Little Bit About Me...

The biggest motivation of my teaching career is to hold a high standard of expectation. I have a MA in Special Education, and a BA in Business Administration. I am adding to my teaching certificate an additional endorsement in middle level and high school math. I have home schooled all four of my children. Two of my children have BA degrees and another is currently in college. I teach an afterschool study hall where I tutor students in math, reading and writing as well as science and social studies.

I would say that my style is one of direction. Helping students find answers, teaching them how to research for the answers and developing paths of choices to determine which one to take and determining the outcome of that choice or the alternatives. Since earning my degree in Math in 1984, I have worked in the Software development field. The last 15 years I have been an independent consultant. I have 2 college age children and 2 elementary age twins. My college age children have both taken math through calculus so I have had many opportunities to tutor them over the years in advanced math. A Little Bit About Me...

I recently graduated with honors from PSU and have a strong desire to work with and help children. I have a passion for literacy and believe it has the power to change lives. I am a single mom of a 14-year-old son and have also volunteered with the African Women’s Coalition to tutor African Refugee children. Working with the children transformed my life and taught me the importance of knowledge.
