I understand that everyone learns differently. I generally prefer a more hands on approach. I attended a Montessori middle school and found it most effective. My first child I tutored is a perfect example. This boy was 14 years old. He really enjoyed carpentry. He hated math because he didn't realize that it would help him with what he loved.
