Become a star, through dedication and desire to succeed!!

I love interacting with my students and finding out what drives them and what they feel hinders their success. I choose activities that make learning fun while making the information relevant and easy to understand. I also strive to build up a student's academic confidence. I believe all students can be successful in anything they put their mind to, sometimes it may take longer for the light bulb moment but I am willing to do anything I can to ensure they reach the point where they fully understand what they are learning and can apply their knowledge not just recite it.
I have taught in both suburban schools at the high school level and urban schools at the elementary/middle school level. While teaching I previously have tutored students. My comments on tutoring Algebra I : I took Honors Algebra I in eighth grade, but have continued to use these skills in all of my subsequent math and science courses.

I have helped my classmates and have had one official student as of this summer. However, I have learned how to explain concepts so that students dont just memorize, they will gain a thought process and applicable knowledge that will enable them to solve even the most complex problems. Having this mentality of preparation and success will being them to reach their goals.
Teaching new concepts, practice applying the new material, review, and more practice of the material to solidify the concepts.
