Working as a High School English teacher for seven years, in Alternative Education, has greatly honed my skills in assisting students to excel. Teaching critical thinking skills to those struggling to grasp concepts, provides great benefit in every subject area. I have always been passionate about receiving and giving the best education. As a graduate of a top-level liberal arts college I was able to hone my skills in English writing and composition. I received a certificate in Elementary Education both in New York and California, and have taught in elementary schools for three years in grades 3, and a 1st/2nd grade combo class, respectively. I also have 2 years of experience substituting in elementary and middle schools, and 1 year of experience tutoring in English, as well as math.
