A Little Bit About Me...

I have always had a love of learning that led me to a career in teaching. I have earned two bachelor degrees, a BS in Chemistry (a subject which I have always loved and understood) and a BS in Physics (a subject which gave me great difficulties in high school but a subject which I have come to enjoy). I also have earned an MA in Education that has given me a large number of tools to teach many different types of students. I usually spend the first session finding a child's weaknesses in the subject. After this, I will prepare a list of problems for the child to work on under my supervision. As he works I will let him make his mistakes and then help him correct them. This, in my opinion, is the greatest way to learn math. Practice makes perfect.
As I finished up my studies, started tutoring for lower level math majors. This included Calculus I,II,III, and statistics. As I moved on through classes, I began teaching more abstract classes in Mathematical theory. This experience has helped me able to explain a complex topic in simple terms.
